Dr. Mike Marshall's Pitching Coach Services | ||
Dr. Mike Marshall's professionally designed and directed training cuts years off the pitcher learning curve.   When pitchers work with maximal physical and intellectual intensity over extended time periods, they determine at what level of competition they can succeed.   Whatever that level, pitchers will enrich their personal pitching enjoyment.   They learn to pitch every day without discomfort, master both sides of home plate with fastballs, curves, screwballs, sliders and sinkers and achieve their maximum release velocities and pitch quality.      Dr. Marshall wants to become a lifetime partner with young pitchers to help them to become the best pitcher that they can be.   Over the past forty years of training and coaching experience, Dr. Mike Marshall has learned that injured and healthy adult pitchers with completely closed growth plates need forty-five weeks to gain the strength and skill required to find out how good of a pitcher they can be.          a.   Rehabilitating Adult Baseball Pitchers     Because they do not have a training day to waste, Dr. Marshall accepts adult baseball pitching partners on the day that they doctors clear them to start their 315-Day Adult Baseball Pitchers Interval-Training Program.          b.   Recent High School Graduate Baseball Pitchers     For recent high school graduate partners, Dr. Marshall accepts only academically eligible baseball pitchers.   Partners start their 280-Day Adult Baseball Pitchers Interval-Training Program on the third Saturday in August and end the fourth Saturday in May.   For the 2005-2006 session, partners arrive on Saturday, August 20, 2005 and leave on Saturday, May 27, 2006.          c.   College Baseball Pitchers     For college partners, Dr. Marshall accepts only academically eligible baseball pitchers with at least two years of athletic eligibility remaining.   Partners start their 315-Day Adult Baseball Pitchers Interval-Training Program on the third Saturday in July and end the fourth Saturday in May.   For the 2005-2006 session, partners arrive on Saturday, July 16, 2005 and leave on Saturday, May 27, 2006.          a.   Coaching      Coaching charges are due on arrival.   Dr. Marshall charges ten dollars ($10.00) per day for coaching.   For two hundred and eighty days, recent high school partners pay two thousand eight hundred dollars ($2,800.00).   For three hundred and fifteen days, college partners should pay three thousand one hundred and fifty dollars ($3,150.00).   However, Dr. Marshall only charges these partners three thousand dollars ($3,000.00).      Thereafter, for as long as all partners pitch college baseball, they can train for free.   If partners get an opportunity to pitch professionally, they pay Dr. Marshall five percent of their professional baseball-related income in excess of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per month.   And, if partners desire, Dr. Marshall will represent them for free.          b.   Equipment     Dr. Marshall provides the equipment that partners need at cost.   Partners need two pair of ten pound wrist weights ($80.00), one pair of five pound wrist weights ($25.00), an eighty yard roll of cloth duct tape ($10.00), one ten pound iron ball ($40.00) and two dozen baseballs ($72.00).   Therefore, total equipment costs total two hundred and twenty-seven dollars ($227.00).          c.   Housing and Electric     Payable on the first of each month, Dr. Marshall charges ten dollars ($10.00) per day for housing .   Housing includes cable television, trash removal and water.   Partners are responsible for their share of their electric bills.      All young men live in four apartments at Dr. Marshall's Pitcher Research/Training Center in Zephyrhills, FL, which house a maximum of twelve pitchers.   Zephyrhills, FL is twenty-five miles northeast of Tampa.   Partners will need to bring only personal items, such as bedding and towels.      Dr. Marshall requires that partners have jobs.   With the influx of snow birds and other vacationers, jobs are readily available during the Fall and Winter months.   Many of Dr. Marshall's partners have worked at SaddleBrook Golf and Tennis Resort, Home Depot and elsewhere and earned more than their total costs.   To enhance their college eligibility, partners should take courses at the nearby Hillsborough Community College in Plant City, FL or Pasco-Hernando Community College in Dade City, FL.      To start the reservation process, prospective partners need to telephone Dr. Marshall at (888)658-8850 and leave their name, telephone number and a good time to return their call.   If partners and Dr. Marshall agree that his 315-Day Adult Baseball Pitchers Interval-Training program will meet their needs, Dr. Marshall will mail his lifetime partnership agreement to them.   If, when Dr. Marshall receives the notarized agreement and the appropriate deposit, then Dr. Marshall will inform partners whether he still has housing for them.   To reserve their space, partners need to include a non-refundable six hundred dollar ($600.00) deposit when they mail their notarized partnership agreement to Dr. Marshall.   Dr. Marshall will hold that six hundred dollars ($600.00) as a damage deposit. |
