May 26, 1969 United Press InternationalUnited Press International May 26, 1969 Stocky pitcher Mike Marshall of the Seattle Pilots was attacked by a gang of youths outside his hotel Saturday night following a rock concert at a nearby hall. Marshall, 26, suffered a black eye in the fracas, which occurred near the hotel at which the Pilots were staying. During the melee, youths ripped one of Marshall's pockets in an apparent unsuccessful attempt to get his wallet.  He struck his attackers and pinned one of them against a wall as police arrived to rescue him. |
